index - ENE - Département Electrotechnique et Système

PRESENTATION :

The academic activities of the entity are dedicated to the electric systems.

A focus is made on embedded systems (actuators, power converters, embedded networs) and power systems (planning, operation, electricity markets, protections, simulation tools). Also, plasmas are investigated for new applications such that gas effluents' treatment or the development of new diagnostic tools for electric system monitoring.

ACTIVITIES AND RESEARCH AREAS :

The research activities of the department are organized according to four themes :

Research work in each of the research themes may be approached by diverse means: student projects, industrial studies, undergraduate internships, doctoral work, and direct research conducted by individuals or groups of the instructor-researchers of the school.

There are close ties among the various research themes which permits good cohesion between the researchers. The department is also open to working with other research groups, whether inside or outside of France, not only in the domain of electrical engineering but also in other areas (economics, biology, chemistry), which permits both the combination of the competences of the department with those of other external groups in their respective domains, and also the estimation of the positioning of the research work as related to the work being done nationally and internationally.
