Our focus is on the potential applications of bio-oil as a liquid fuel for heat and power generation. We point out some of the inherent properties of bio-oil that create difficulties standing in the way of these applications. Finally, we take a brief look at some processes that aim to valorize bio-oil by conversion to higher value liquid fuel products. %G English %2 https://ifp.hal.science/hal-01936191/document %2 https://ifp.hal.science/hal-01936191/file/ogst120259.pdf %L hal-01936191 %U https://ifp.hal.science/hal-01936191 %~ IFP %~ OGST
